Dr. Wilkins

Talmadge D. Wilkins IV, DMD is a graduate from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. Before studying dentistry, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University. After dental school, Dr. Wilkins completed a general practice residency followed by training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia. He is the former Assistant Director of the Medical College of Georgia's General Practice Residency where he still maintains an appointment as an Instructor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation.

Dr. Wilkins has received such honors as his Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologist, Mastership in the College of Conscious Sedation from the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and is awaiting his award of Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentists, American Orthodontic Society, American Dental Association, American Dental Education Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and Aiken Dental Society. He has given many lectures and continuing education courses in many different topics to include: all phases of implant dentistry, IV Sedation, Emergency Management, and treatment of the medically compromised.

Dr. Wilkins and his wife, Leah Wilkins, who is also a dentist, reside in Aiken County. In their free time they enjoy traveling, boating, hunting, and spending lots of time with their beautiful young son, Witt.
